Ford Mondeo TDCi 57 makes a whiring noise, similar to a toothed Fan belt but lowder when accelerating or holding the accelerator in one place, but the noise disappears when deselerating.

Hi, sounds like the turbo from the description? how loud is it? can you upload a video to youtube?

The noise is lowder not that much lowder than the engine sound level in the car. It appears to be coming from the near side (passenger side) of the car engine. At first I thought it could be the drive shaft but the frequency increases with the engine revs and changes with the gear change. It does not however make the noise when reving the the engine when in neutral or with the clutch down so only under load.
