have had to replace 3 injectors since getting car end of 2011 is this bad luck? is it bad diesel? have heard from other ford users dealer is feeding me lies??? its 2009 ford focus

sorry not great with cars so where would i get engines varient? All injectors were replaced over 2yr period 1st when under warranty and 2nd jun 2013 and 3rd jan14! The car just gave up with engine malfunction each time and had to be towed to main dealer as always out of hours! There was chugging and pulling 1st time so might have been some warning but was my 1st diesel so thought this was reason! No warning next 2 times just died!!

Ok the registration doesn't come up on my system as it is non uk
Do you have the chassis number
As I need to clarify what size if engine you have eg 1.8 tdci etc

Sorry for the delayed response


Ok i have came across some 1.8 tdci engines that have had injector concerns (this is not a common fault )
Most times the fault the customer reports us an intermitent cutting out or limp mode activated
The fault code logged is normally an injector on a specific cylinder shorting out internally
Obivously I don't know exactly what codes have been logged (which is imperative to diagnosing the fault at the tome ) in each occasion

However i have had a vehicle where by I changed 2 different injectors in the space if 1 month (2 different cylinders )
The fault is never the wiring and is down to The injector shorting internally
There had never been a technical bulletin or any Information released in regards XXXXX XXXXX issue
As I said it isn't something we see regularly there can be no way of telling what has caused the injector to short internally it could be electrical (internal )
On rate issues we see diesel on the injector pins (leaking i into the head of the injector )

Hi Brian just wondering if you are aware of problem with car radio constantly needing code to be inputted every time go into car?? Its 09 ford focus 1.8tdci! Have got new battery today but still its not holding the code?

Ok the fault will either lie with the constant feed to the audio unit or the audio unit itself

I will have a look through the diagrams tommorow morning to give you fuse /pin information in regards to your issue
