Mark :

Hello. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will be assisting you today.

Mark :

Gearbox ratios are worth looking at but more important is what engine it is mated to. You don't say what engine you have or are looking at with the new bus.

Customer:

2.4

Mark :

They are both 2.4 diesels

Customer:

yes

Mark :

What is the hp of the 2007 engine

Customer:

115 I think

Mark :

Do you know the newer bus has only 85 hp?

Customer:

no

Mark :

The 2007 can come with either 85, 110 or 130 hp engines

Mark :

Are you concerned about torque, hp, fuel consumption or a combination. Or are there other concerns?

Customer:

6 speed seems a lot smoother change

Mark :

So you're worried about reliability?

Customer:

no why use 5 speed in some buses

Mark :

It's to do with power output, torque and fuel efficiency.

Customer:

which is better

Mark :

There is no easy answer to that.

Mark :

Are you concerned about torque, hp, fuel consumption or a combination.

Mark :

The 6 speed box top gear is not that far from top in the 5 speed box. It just has closer ratios which is better when carrying heavy loads.

Customer:

just wary about regretting after buying sorry if making no sence

Mark :

If the bus you have bought has a tight gearchange it might require the cables to be adjusted or replaced.

Customer:

did not buy yet only 14kms on clock

Mark :

I don't think you will have any problem with it.

Mark :

It's barely run in yet.

Customer:

ok probably too new needs more driving thanks for your help

Mark :

No problem

Mark :

You have a good night.
