Hi there ,good afternoon to you

Ok the most common and likely fault is moisture ingress into the battery backed sounder alarm
This is located in the passengers front wheel arch (remove wheel arch liner to gain access to it )

This Battery backed sounder alarm is controlled via Lin bus
Which in turn can affect the wipers and other Lin bus controlled functions on the Lin bus circuit
Normally the wipers start going on by themselves

Dissconnect the battery backed sounder alarm and see if the fault resolved itself
You may get an alarm service message on the dash ignore this as it is due to the sounder being dissconnected

This would be the first port of call with your issue
