Hi there ,good evening to you

Ok the most common occurance of this red ! Warming light is low DPF additive level on the earlier DPF systems
The DPF system will have an additive tank on the rest subframe (and a magnet on the fuel filler flap )
This low DPF additive level logs a fault code in the FACM (Fuel Additive Control Module )
Thus brings this warning light on

This should be ruled out as a process of elimination in regards XXXXX XXXXX fault

Hi

how can I cure this problem.

Expert:  Gallagher99 replied 3 years ago.
Hi there
If the DPF additive is low it will need to be refilled and primed and reset before this light will resolve itself

The DPF additive is only avaiable in 5 litre tubs
You only need 1.5 litres to refill the additive tank

This should ideally be done at your local ford dealer
