I know that the connector is burnt out and don't want to pay for new headlamps

Hi there thanks
Ok in this case I would not be purchasing a new headlight as this is far too expensive a method of repair for this issue
Your best/cheapest and most practical repair would be to go to a breakers yard and cut the connector off the inside of the headlight bulb (leave a decent length of wire )
and solder this to your headlight wiring
If you need anymore help or advice on this issue please let me know
