Ignition lights come on but engine doesn't crank.

Its a key ignition.

The car has been left a couple of weeks.

When jump leads attached to donor car, things look normal but car won't start

Hi there thanks
Ok the most likely cause is a corroded wire in the main engine loom. Which is prone to holding water thus causing corrosion
Can you remove the starter relay R1 from the engine fuse box
And with the ignition on and in netrual bridge pins 3&5 to see if the engine starts

Hi,

I have just looked into this, but I am reluctant to give it a go, as why would the starter fuse stop the car from unlocking with the button on the key and stop all the internal lights etc unless the car is attached via jump leads?

Expert:  Gallagher99 replied 2 years ago.
Hi there the battery being flat would stop the doors from operating
This has been rectified using Jump leads
At the moment we now have a no crank issue that's why I asked for the starter relay pins to be bridged out firstly to see if the vehicle will start as if there is no Immobilsor issues we must try this first
