hi,yes, both neither left or right side respond to the toggle on the driver door, the windows operate fine,as does the central locking from both inside and out.I read that there is a fuse on a block elsewhere in the cabin or that a relay might be @fault?

Hi there thanks
Ok this fault is most commonly down to
A broken wire at the door loom join between the drivers door and the body of the car
This loom is prone to moisture and breakages
I have had a look through the generic Ka diagram and it only shows the feed going into the mirror switch at pin6 (Orange And Yellow wire )
Do you have your registration number to see if that lists me a different diagram to trace where this feed comes from

Hi there thanks
Ok the fuse number is ***** 2.1 (20amp)in the interior fuse box at the right hand side under the steering wheel
I suspect this fuse will be ok as it supplies a few other systems
If so you need to check the feed and earthward the switch at pin6 feed and pin 4 earth
If these are present then the fault will lie internal of the switch as both mirrors aren't moving
