Hi john good afternoon to you

Ok the power steering on the mk3 focus is fully electronic

The power steering motor is intergrated into the steering rack and is most commonly the issue where by we see fault code u3000 in the eps module

The motor cannot be replaced separately from the steering rack

Ideally you should have a good quality diagnostic fault code check on the the EPS (electronic power steering ) module

This system is very complex and technical

Another issue to check for is low battery voltage drop on crank

If it drops to around 10.5 volts the power steering module doesn't wake up as it doesn't see a high enough voltage

But in most cases it's the steering rack which is the issue

If you need anymore help or advice on this issue John please let me know

Kindest regards ***** ***** and have a nice day

Any positive feedback is kindly appreciated

Brian
