Hi are you going to answer my question still waiting
Expert:  Gallagher99 replied 2 months ago.

Hi there thanks

Is there any smoke from the exhaust

Is the vehicle is limp home mode (no boost ) just now or

Has the fault present just now or has it rectified itself by keying on and off

Kindest regards ***** *****

No smoke. Vehicle just in limp home mode with no real power. Wife is concerned as she has to use motorway on way home and 60 miles from home. It rectified temporarily by keying on and off but limp mode again after a few miles

Hi thanks and sorry for the delayed response before

Ok the fault will most commonly lie with a faulty turbo actuator rod /position sensor this commonly rectifies itself by keying off then on but can return when harder acceleration is used

it is fine to drive the vehicle in limp home mode as I dansge will be done but you must have a diagnostic fault code check down as soon as possible to find out which code is logged as this is imperative to correctly disgnosing the issue

The common codes are p132b or p0299 turbo underboost which in turns stops the hill start assist from working

It's not ideal to drive on the motorway in limp home mode due to obivous reasons but if keying off rectifies the isdue temporarly then just use moderate acceleration as if the turbo rod is sticking it only senses this on harder acceleration

But you won't cause any damage to the vehicle by continuing to drive it

If you need anymore help or advice on this issue please let me know and I will do my upmost to assist you

If you are satisfied with my answer /advice

PLEASE REMEMBER TO RATE MY ANSWER

Kindest regards ***** ***** and have a nice evening

Any positive feedback / bonuses are kindly appreciated
