Resolved Question:

I have a mk3 Focus Rs and have had the common problem of my head cracking etc, I have a upgraded intercooler and exhaust system along with dump valve fitted. I understand this may void my warranty but can I still get my engine replaced as this is clearly an issue due to there manufacturing and a common problem?

Hi there sorry for the delay

Ok the modifications won't impact this warranty repair from ford in this case

The fault isn't caused by a cracked head as you may be led to believe the fault is down to the head gasket

The coolant leaks into cylinders 3 & 4 causing coolant loss/ white smoke / and unstable idle

If the vehicle is built between a certain build period they will replace either the engine or head gasket

As modifications were made to the engine /head gasket after a certain build date

I would have this booked into your nearest ford dealer to have this resolved
