I have just secured a contract for 6 months starting on 5th May. The company is Dutch although my base remains Australia the job is international, involves long periods of work overseas and I have been asked whether I want to be paid in GBP or AUD. I am British with PR in Australia. I registered my company in Australia on 23rd January but to date have not set up anything else or made any other "business start-up" preparations or arrangements.In order to be paid I have been asked to provide the following;

- Copy of VAT Certificate

- Copy of Proof of Company Insurance, Liability Insurance.

1. What is the best way for me to set this up and to find an accountant/bookkeeper who can manage my accounts and advice me specifically on tax payment/management when my work is international.

2. Should I ask to be paid in GBP or AUD? What are the PR status or tax implications?

3. Is there anything else that I need to do from a legal perspective?

All advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
