I have a copy of Batman Vampire with a Titan Books label ISBN ********** / ISBN 13 9781845766450 which research has shown values over £500 the condition is good but cannot understand why this copy is worth more than previous printings.
Have also found that this book is actually published by DC .
Is the value attached to an actual book published by Titan as I can't find it in their listings
I have found what I believe to be the answer and have acted on it .
Please close my question
Hello, and thanks for the question. This novel is a U.K. republication by Titan of the paperback that was originally published in the U.S. by DC Comics. About two years ago, DC ended their agreement with Titan to republish DC's paperbacks and graphic novels, often at a substantial markup. DC then struck up a deal to distribute their books solely to Diamond Book Distributors UK, eliminating Titan as a republisher in the UK. This why you can no longer find Tales of the Multiverse: Batman: Vampire in Titan's listings. The inflated value (I will take your word that you have seen it valued at £500) is a matter, then, of supply and demand. No new copies of the novel with the Titan label being supplied and demand increasing for the copies that are out there. You can read more details about the DC Comics changes in their U.K. redistribution arrangements at the following site: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2012/04/13/dc-comics-pulls-trade-paperbacks-grphic-novels-from-titan-books-favour-of-diamond/Hope this helps!
