Hello Anna. Thanks for accepting the scene. A young couple set out on an adventure of a life time, a diving trip in the Caribbean. They set off on the boat with a large group of other likeminded people.
The go for the dive the guy is dressed like in picture; the girl is in a bathing suit with scuba gear. They spend too much time down exploring and when they surface the dive boat has left without them.
They float around trying to spot any one to rescue them. Minutes turn to hours and no one appears, time drags on and stills no sight of anyone to rescue them. They both start to become week from cold and hypothermia and lack of clean water and food.
They try swimming to help boost their moral and hope that it will keep them warm .Soon they spot the dorsal fin of a large shark, either a great white or a tiger.
They try and keep an eye on it but in the slight swell it`s not easy, The shark makes an investigatory lunge and takes a small bite of the guys lower leg. Blood seeps from his wound and he screams out in pain, His girlfriend dived down to see what happed and ties a bandage of sorts around it to stem the bleeding.
More hours pass and still no one has turned up to help them. The guy is slipping in and out of consciousness , The girl helps keep him a float, But soon he passes away , the shark keeps circling them and with a dread in her heart the girl removes the guys life preserver and anything else she can use and sets his body adrift. She swims away and watched his body floating on the surface; she can see it clearly from the orange goggles and his bright coloured swim trunks and swim fins.
Soon the shark homes in on the floating body and starts to eat it. The girl watches in horror seeing it eat her boyfriend, the last thing she sees is his lower body from waist down in the bright trunks hanging from the shark’s mouth. And then it gulps it down, she drifts for hours, and is rescued a day and a half later.
She tells her rescuers what has happened and they send out a search party to find her boyfriend and the shark.
What I would like to know from you is more detail of the shark feeding on the guy and what happens once it has swallowed all his body and diving equipment.
Hello Anna , thnaks once more for a great scene/scenario. I did not think the shark would be able to eat the guy hole . I have only heard of sharks swallowing a human hole in a few rare cases and the shark was reported to be over 25ft.
1) How long would it take the shark to eat all the guys body?
2) could the shark swallow all the area in the swim trunks hole?
3) what would the girl be thinking when she saw the shark gulp down the area in the guys swim trunks before she passed out.?
4) Given that shark normally eat seals, whales with a high blubber content for the greater enegry it gives them , How long would it take the shark to digest the guys body ?
Many thanks once again.
With all the ripping apart, probably about a half hour.
It would probably bite and tear it into two chunks - front and back.
She would be absolutely horrified. She'd be in such an emotional state that she couldn't think at all. She would feel sick to her stomach. she might have racing thoughts: why did they go on this trip anyway, how she will never make love with him again, did she do everything she could?

Sharks generally take a few days to digest a seal. Because they aren't made to digest a slim human, it would probably take about twice as long. I would estimate about one week.
Hello Anna , Thanks for the quick reply .
1) what will have been digested , by ,12 ,24, 48 ,hours after eating the guy?
2)what if anything would be left once digestion was complete?
3) if a fisher man was to catch the shark 12,24 ,36, 48,60.72 hours after it had fed on the guy and he opened itup what would he find inside at those different times?
These are hard questions to answer because no one really knows at such detailed times. At 12 hours, what would be in the shark's stomach woudl certainly be identifiable as human remains. Fatty tissues, which includes the private parts, would be easiest to digest, so they would be gone. By 24 hours, it's likely the internal organs would be gone. By 60 hours, we'd probably find bones with the harder muscle and cartilage (nose, ears) still clinging to them. It would probably be similar at 72 hours. The bones and muscle would be worked on for several more days. The clothing would be intact but damaged. What I have described is what the fisherman would find at each stage, too. When digestion was complete, the ruined clothing would be left, and there might be some pieces of bone and teeth.
