Dear Customer,

thank you so much for using Just Answer.

There is no certain age where you can legally stop paying child support.

The time when you can stop depends on when your daughter has finished her education.

What does she do at present ?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Hi Claudia,

my daughter finished school last year , and is now working , but still lives with her mother. does this this make any difference?

Expert:  Claudia Schiessl replied 4 years ago.
Dear Cuatomer,

no

She does not have any claim againbst you because she has finished her education and can now earn her own living

I`d strongly advice you to stop all payments.

If however there is a deed about child support , or a court order er something you cannot stop but have to go to court and file for the reduction of child support to zero.

If I have helped I would very much appreciate getting positive feedback
