Can you tell me what type of room thermostat you have?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

We don't have a thermostat

Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 3 years ago.
Ok, can you confirm that the timer is calling for heat?
Doe the boiler make any attempt to start?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Yes, it fires up and then stops

Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 3 years ago.
ok, that proves 90% of the boiler.
Can you put your hands on the two 22mm pipes under the boiler and tell me if you get any heat?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

The pipes I think you are referring to are cold, but the big pipe that has a Magclean connected to it is hot. This is when the problem started. My husband cleaned that out and since then we have no heating but hot water

Can you confirm the system pressure?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

The pressure is just under 1

Can you fill the system back up to 1.5bar and ensure the Magnaclean valves are set correctly to allow water flow through it
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Yes I have done that. Still no heating .

When you turn the heating on can you hear the pump start?
Can you take the cover off and see if you can take the screw out of the centre of the pump?

Did you manage to get this working - I just want to make sure you have heat.
