Our bathroom switch is turning on the extractor as normal but

This answer was rated:

Our bathroom switch is turning on the extractor as normal but not the 4 recessed spot lights. None of the bulbs have blown though and the fuses have not tripped in the fuse box. What could be the problem?

XXXXX XXXXX :

It proves that the light switch is working fine if the fan turns on.

XXXXX XXXXX :

Try looking for a loose connection in the light fitting

Customer:

How would be the best way? The fittings are recessed and only the bulbs are accessible for changing them.

XXXXX XXXXX :

You will need to pop them out and find which is the first to be connected and then check the power there

Customer:

So do I take them all out then try each fitting individually with a bulb?

XXXXX XXXXX :

If you can pull them out the ceiling and follow the wiring back to the switch - if none of them are working and the bulbs are good then it will be the first one on the loop from the switch

Customer:

So do I tke them all out and replace each one at a time to see if they work?

So do I take them all out then try each one individually?
