- Does power/standby light on unit lit when power cord plugs in AC wall socket?

no the power light does not come on,although the mains is getting to the power board.sorry for the delay in replying ,stan

OK, it needs thorough check up/ troubleshooting in circuitry to figure out what is going on, this kind of work can't be done over internet support and requires real hands on unit, all I can do is to provide you service manual copy and rest would be your own skills/ efforts to repair the unit.
