onkyo tx-nr 535 cant sync video and audio when inputing from

onkyo tx-nr 535
cant sync video and audio when inputing from virgin cable.
sync is ok when connected directly to tv
all other sources sync ok..xbox and blu ray player.
tried adjusting lip sync as per on line manual..has no effect
can you please help ?

Hello an sorry you're having problems.
Have you tried rebooting the cable box by disconnecting it from power for 10 seconds, and then plugging it back in?

Yes ive rebooted everything.


Also I dont brlieve the problem was originating in thr cable box as it works ok direct to tv. I was hoping to get some advice on wether the amp should be configured a different way.


I have decided to take all hdmi direct to tv then use optical digital audio from tv to amp..getting around hdmi sync problems.
