Hello, Offhand this sounds like a hardware issue with the Philips. I will need to know how long you've owned it for?
Also, please try the following:
1) Disconnect the system from power, then press and hold the power button on the system itself (not the remote) for 15 seconds and release.
2)Wait a full minute, then press and hold power again while plugging it back in. Continue to hold the power button for 5 seconds, and if the system does not turn on, then release- press it once more and release.
3) If this still does not work then try these steps up to three more times and let me know if there is any sign of life at all on the system.
