Customer Question

I have a Honda Civic ES GT I-VTEC and I have no handbook yet. I am getting a blue warning light on the dashboard which is like a thermometer dipping in liquid with a C next to it. Please could you explain? The car is 2009

Hello I will be glad to help you with your Honda questions today! The blue warning light that you are seeing indicates that the engine is cold and should go off when it reaches operating temperature. This is straight from the owners manual:

This indicator monitors the

temperature of the engine coolant. If

there is no problem, this indicator

comes on when the engine is cold. If

it comes on when the engine is warm

(normal operating temperature),

have the vehicle inspected by your

dealer as soon as possible.

Let me know if you have any other questions and I will be glad to help. Please remember to rate me at Excellent Service and Thank You for letting me assist you today!
