Andrew :

What type of noise are you hearing? Is this a manual or auto trans?

Customer:

Noise is through all gears it's a 5 speed manual

Andrew :

Does the noise change at all if the clutch pedal is pressed?

Andrew :

If it is present while driving and through all gears it is likely caused by a bad input shaft bearing. Are you planning on tearing the trans down to fix it or replace it?

Customer:

Tearing down to replace bearing.noise stops when clutch is pressed
