we have a glow worm back boiler it is about 18 years old it

Resolved Question:

we have a glow worm back boiler it is about 18 years old it is an inset BBU 40. the problem we have is that when it attempts to light it keeps tripping out it is now not coming on at all. we have replaced the circuit board and the gas valve and it has been serviced twice.

it could be one of the cheapest parts - the ignition electrode and lead - has this been changed?

no we don't think has been changed, we changed the circuit board and ignition lead, combustion products safety device, the gas valve was changed a few years back apparently,


There could be a small crack that may let it light but will not let the mV back to the PCB to tell it is lit
