We have a Potterton Suprima 80L boiler that is failing to fire

Customer Question

We have a Potterton Suprima 80L boiler that is failing to fire up when the timer comes on. We have to press the reset button on the boiler to get it to fire up. This can take some time and more that one attempt to achieve. Can you identify what the problem might be? We have had the gas valve replaced but that did not solve the problem.

Andrew Smith :
90% of the faults end up being the PCB.
Andrew Smith :

Do you have a flashing light or red light when it is trying to start?

JACUSTOMER-4pkugi36- :

The red light is flashing. When we press the other button the green light comes on and the boiler can take up to three attempts or more to fire up.

JACUSTOMER-4pkugi36- :

What is the PCB?

Andrew Smith :

The PCB is the printed circuit board

Andrew Smith :

They have made so many modifications to the boiler it now comes with a rewiring pack
