XXXXX XXXXX :

Can you confirm the system pressure on the gauge?

Customer:

.2 bar

XXXXX XXXXX :

Do you knw how to refill the system?

Customer:

no

XXXXX XXXXX :

Do you have a silver flexible pipe under the boiler?

Customer:

yes

XXXXX XXXXX :

IS there a valve on one or both ends?

Customer:

there's a valve at both ends to open or close similar to the type fitted when you want to turn off water to an appliance

XXXXX XXXXX :

Ok, turn one on - then turn the other on slowly

XXXXX XXXXX :

You will get a slight whistling - take the pressure up to 1.5 bar and turn them both off again

XXXXX XXXXX :

Once over about 0.5 bar the boiler will fire again

Customer:

i can hear water going through

XXXXX XXXXX :

Watch the pressure rise and then turn off at 1.5bar

Customer:

pressure gone straight to 2,8

XXXXX XXXXX :

You should have just turned the valve on slowly?

XXXXX XXXXX :

Turn them both off

XXXXX XXXXX :

Lower the pressure by venting a radiator into a tub

XXXXX XXXXX :

Back down to 1.5bar

Customer:

done

XXXXX XXXXX :

Cool - boiler working?

Customer:

yes, thanks

XXXXX XXXXX :

great news - well done.

XXXXX XXXXX :

Remember this for next time :-P

Customer:

many thanks
