HI there,
I have a Duracraft 8000 BTU Fully Portable Air Conditioner 24 Hour Timer & LCD Display but it keeps cutting out!
What am I doing wrong/can I do??

How old is your AC?
Also when you say it cuts out, is the display turning off or just the compressor and fan?

HI Michael, many thanks for coming back to me.

Unfortunately, I am not sure how old it is as I had given to me!

The display turns off when it cuts off and the warning triangle flashes.

Yes, it does blow cold air when running, it stays on for about 5 mins and then cuts out.

This sounds like a failing temp probe.
it is located against the cold coils inside the front grill.
This is something though that needs to be changed by any appliance repair technician or shop.
Its easy for them to do but requires special tools to do this.
The part isn't very expensive and thats a good thing.
I wish this was something you could fix yourself I really do but this is one of those times when a tech is needed.
