82k the owner said might be clutch or cat.mine is 1.8 auto cdx petrol full tank just 180 miles or so.52plate.60k.

do you think diesel ones are better?

Hello you can test the clutch by trying to pull away in 2nd or 3rd gear, it should be possible in bothif you find its very difficult to get the car moving in anything other than 1st gear then yes its likley the clutch is on its way outand I'd avoid the diesel as the engine is not amongst the best
