My mother was born in Calcutta, India in 1933. She now resides in Pakistan, as her family moved there after partition.

Did your mother take Citizenship of India or Pakistan?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

She and her parents opted for Pakistani citizenship

Expert:  Howard replied 4 years ago.
In that case your mother will unfortunately not be able to claim British Citizenship. Sorry for the bad news but please remember to rate the service rather than whether or not the answer is the one that you were hoping for!
