We are resident in Kenya.
Olga is going back to Russia in June for 6 months. She wants to change her Internal and Russian Passport to her New Married Surname as we need this for Living in Kenya and UK.
She has been asked to provide proof that she is Entitled Legally to change her surname.
We are having our Marriage certificate legalized for Russia by the UK Home office.
They require a second document to say she is Legally entitled to change her Surname to Wedd after Marriage in UK.
UK marriage certificates do not indicate her new Name. It just states that Olga Shikolenko is Married to Dennis Wedd.
We need a document stating she is entitled to change her name to WEDD if she so wishes, or she can be legally referred to as MRS WEDD.
This is what we have been told by the Russian Embassy in Nairobi.
How and What document do we get from UK allowing her to change her name when she does apply to have her Internal and International Russian Passport changed in Russia
