Hi,

For spouse settlement visa, what evidence is acceptable for the "source" of gift money from in-laws abroad, to fulfill the financial requirements part?

Hello,

A letter from your in laws is sufficient saying that the money is a gift and they do not expect repayment of the money.

May I help further?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Won't UKBA ask for the evidence of source of that money i.e. how did the in-laws get that money in the first place or something?

Expert:  UKSolicitorJA replied 3 years ago.
No, they have no right to ask that.

All the best
