Dear sir/madam Could you please help with an enquiry about my daughter. My daughter is currently completing a Masters at Edinburgh University, she is 24. She was born in the UK ( Wigan) but we been living in Australia between 2000 and 2014. She has applied and been accepted to do a PhD at Edinburgh University but has not been able to secure any funding/scholarships. We have paid for her master's fees as an International Student but were hoping she could be classed as a home student for the last years of her PhD. But the University has just informed us that isnt possible when we were originally told it was possible. We dont expect any financial help but i am imploring you to give me any advice at all to help her be classed as a home student. She was born in the UK and lived in a commonwealth country but we do not have the same rights as an EU resident. All her family are still resident in the UK and myself and her father are also UK born. Do you have any help at all you could give us please. I understand that we can receive no funding but the difference between home/international fees are the difference between her carrying on with her studies or not. She will not be returning to Australia. Many thanks with any advice you may have Mandy XXXX
