Ask an Immigration Solicitor. Get an Answer ASAP.
When were you convicted of the offence please?
Thanks. Did the matter proceed to Court?
Thanks for your question. I will try to help.
Unfortunately, if you received the fine and sentence in court then it counts as a non-custodial offence.
This means that any application for naturalisation should normally be refused if you apply within 3 years of the conviction.
So, the application has been correctly rejected regrettably. There are not real grounds for appeal in a case like this because the law has been correctly applied by the caseworker.
This means that you will have to wait until Marcy 2019 before you apply again and ensure that you do not get any other convictions in the meantime.
I am sorry I could not have better news for you.
My goal is to provide you with a good service. If you feel you have received anything less, please reply back. Please remember to leave positive feedback using the stars at the top of the page.
