I'm looking to buy a 2004 jaguar sports estate,4wd,petrol,automatic but it has a problem, it needs one catalytic converter replaced,is this an exspensive part and is it exspensive to fit ? i really dont know much about mechanics so your advice is crucial to me,

hello catalyst's used to be very expensive but have come down a lot in recent years a new item is about £300 and a good used item about £100 and expect to pay about 1.5 hours labour to fit this work can be done at any small garage so a typical labour rate is about £50/ hour
