Kia Sportage 2013 2L Diesal - Engine Oil Level (Not Pressure) came on, filled the oil up. Styarted car but warning light remains on. Do we need to run the car for a while before the warning light resets?

Hi..there.. As long as the level is upto the F mark on the stick at cold engine temperature..then sometimes with alot of these you do have to drive the car for at least 15-20miles so the system/ecu can determine the level is correct and then put the light out..as long as you say its not an oil pressure issue and the level has been checked by yourself and adjusted "but not overfilled" then i dont see why you cant drive the vehicle until as such the level is detected by the level sensor to be correct..I do hope this helps
