I have an Acer Aspire E1-572P and Ive been having a problem

Resolved Question:

I have an Acer Aspire E1-572P and I've been having a problem with my music and movie player. I'd be able to open up the application but after a couple of seconds it would freeze, I'd return to my desktop and open it back up but it would restart and go through the whole process again of signing in and freezing.

May I know the music player you are using? Is it WIndows Media Player?

Customer:

It's the default music player which is linked to the xbox too. I think it is the windows media player but I'm not too sure how to find out.

Have you tried any other players like VLC player?

Customer:

No, I haven't got anything else installed currently. The media player I've been using has worked just fine until a few days ago

Are you experiencing the same issue with all music?

What do you mean by al music?

Please go to the link below, click Run now, download and run it.

Customer:

I've tried to click it but the Run now button is greyed out and won't work

It says the operating system is not supported by Microsoft fix it

Open up Control Panel and type “windows features” into the search box, and then click on Turn Windows features on or off.

Shefin :
May I know the operating system you are using? Is it Windows 7?

I'm using windows 8

Can you get into Control panel?

Customer:

yes

Shefin :

Open Programs and Features.

Customer:

okay

Shefin :

Click "Turn Windows features on or off" in the left pane.

Customer:

yes, what next?

Shefin :

Expand "Media Features", uncheck "Windows Media Center". Click "Yes" to continue, and click OK to quit and then restart.

Shefin :

After restart, get back to the control panel, Programs and Features, choose "Turn Windows features on or off" again, check "Windows Media Player",click Ok and then restart again.

Shefin :

Then, come back and let me know the result.
