If you connect an external USB mouse to the laptop, does it work?

What's the model of your laptop?

Do you see a touchpad/mousepad icon at one of the function row keys (F1 to F12) on the keyboard?

Toshiba don't see touchpad icon on F1-F12

Haven't got external mouse to try at present

If that does not work, can you please press at the same time the two keys Fn and F5 in order to enable/disable the touchpad/mousepad?
