Viet - Computer Tech :

I'm sorry about the issue. Does your computer have windows xp, vista, or 7, or 8?

Viet - Computer Tech :

In Task Manager, can you click on the Processes tab, then see if the item explorer.exe is there?

Viet - Computer Tech :

In Task Manager, can you click on the Processes tab (or Details tab), then see if any item called explorer.exe is there? If yes, then click on explorer.exe, then click on End process.

Viet - Computer Tech :

Next, click on File menu in Task Manager, then click on New task (Run...), then type explorer.exe then click OK, then see if the computer works.

Viet - Computer Tech :

- If that does not work, click on File menu in Task Manager, then click on New task (Run...), then type rstrui then click OK, then restore the computer to any date before this issue has occurred, and check.

Hi Margaret,

If all fails, turn off the computer, then turn it back on, then right away, keep tapping the key F11 quickly and repeatedly until a recovery menu appears and continue.

(If needed, try the same step with key F10 and/or F12.)

If needed, use your windows disk or recovery/restore disk if you have.

Please let me know. Thank you,
