Good Morning. I have just bought an LG 32LB580V. Could you please help me. 1) How to I connect a SKY+ box to the TV for both receiving Sky channels and recording SKY tV channels. What connectors do I need to buy? 2) How to I connect a Mini IPad to the TV to display IPad content on the TV please? What connector is required? Thanks Mike Priestley.
3) What is the recommended broadband capacity to be able to stream fils properly please?
For starters you only need to use a HDMI cable to connect the Sky box to the TV. This will deliver the HD picture to your TV from your Sky box.
The HDMI cable has this connection on either end. You should have been given one of these cables with your Sky box. It looks like this:
To connect your iPad mini to your TV via HDMI you need an adapter which you can order from here. The iPad mini uses a "Lightning" plug not the older 30pin plug
You will also need a HDMI cable to connect this adapter to your TV.
This article will help you:
Your TV has 3 HDMI sockets so you can plug your Sky box into HDMI 1; Ipad into HDMI port 2. You then simply need to select the appropriate HDMI connection using your TV remote control.
Many thanks for your help.
Did you please get the additional question of how much internet bandwidth would you recommend to use NOW TV through the SMART TV?
Sorry for the delay in replying. I am in South Africa and we lost our Internet connection for the day.
Please kindly understand that you are only allowed to ask ONE question per thread.
However, I will make an exception since I have already answered your other questions.
You need a minimium constant download speed of 2.5Mbps
You can check your speed by going here using a PC connected to the same Internet connection that your TV is using
Please make sure that when you do the speed test that no other equipment is also sharing the Internet as your results will not be correct.
Please kindly rate my answer if I have helped you with your problem.
