FOR JOMO1972talk talk want £270.00 for supposedly breach of terms and conditions within a year of contract,that my wife and i did not agree to or sign up for.we ended their service on 20 nov.paid the final balance and then stopped the direct debit.they then notified us by letter that they had tried to take monies from our account,but they couldn't.on several occasions we have spoken to them,and they insist that we owe them.why would we sign up for a contract that costs us more monies for a service we don't require.i.e. downloads etc.the situation of this supposed new contract only came to my attention after constant problems of trying to use the internet.
forjomo1972 can they demand money from me for a service i didn't sign up for or want?they have given this supposed service without my or my wifes agreement.
forjomo1972 surely they would need proof of either a verbal contract i.e.these phone calls are recorded for training purposes,or in an acknowledgement letter or some sort of contract?
forjomo1972 i notified them that i would be changing my provider,gave due notice,paid the final bill and on the 20 nov bt became my provider.after t.t were notified i was leaving them,we were inundated with phone calls,to ask why we were leaving,each time we told them that the service they provided was not acceptable,and that each time we asked for an engineer,we were fobbed off.when you are not computer literate,sometimes you need help,i was never given help or guidence to my satisfaction,it was as if they were just reading from a script.when re-enphaseising my problems they would just repeat their same set format
