Hi, welcome to Just Answer. I will help you with your question.
Was anything more said about the ability to achieve this turnover levels? Did they say it was doing that level or that it could do that level, might do that level etc. etc?
They said it was doing that level
And it wasn't doing that level for them?
It was doing that level for them
And why wasn't it doing that for you?
We ve no idea! This was May 2012.Its just not taking the money it said it was.
OKay - well, if its the sellers fault, then they may be liable, but you need to understand why there has been a downturn really.
Did you have a written agreement drawn up for the purchase of the business?
If there seller has been responsible for unlawfully doing something that has affected the business, then you might be able to sue in the County Court for that loss. But you really need to know why the business (or have a good idea) has diminished?
yes we had a contract and solicitors were involved at both sides.the business was bought through an agent and it was him that drew up the contract.but we would have to check that contract to see if it mentions the turnover.
Yes, and I'd recommend speaking with your solicitor as they would know the contract inside out, and should be able to guide you specifically on this. But, in essence, the contract terms are crucial here, as there is often an exclusion on anything said that isn't in the contract, so anything in the contract on turnover etc. is important.
I hope this answers your question. If you need further information, just let me know. Please do remember to rate my answer as highly as you can.
I see you rated poor service, can I ask why please, I'd like to achieve an excellent service for you.
Ive just spoke to my husband and we will read our contract tonight that we got from the agent. As my husband is not earning a wage, speaking with our solicitor frightens him to pay more money, money that he hasnt got.
Is there more information you would like?
I dont think so until we have checked the contract. My husband will do that tonight.
