Customer Question

I am a contractor. Owed £6k since October 2012. The purchaser of my service keeps saying that they are not paying me until the work I was hired to do has been paid for by their client. I have said I understand this but require payment. I am not in a position to hire a solicitor to act on my behalf. Can I do anything myself to force payment? Thanks, Keith

Hi,

Thank you for your question and welcome to Just Answer.

Does it say anything in the contract that you will not be paid until your contractor is paid?

Kind regards

AJ

Hi,

Thank you.

So you agreed in the signed contract that you would not be paid until the ultimate client is paid?

Have you invoiced the works? If so what are your credit terms?

Kind regards

AJ
