Dear Sir or Madam

I purchased a new car three years ago from a main distributer and paid up front for the first three years servicing I received a card giving me a date for the last service and I was asked to confirm this date which I did.
On the morning of the 9th of april I received a phone call telling me that as the contract for this service was out of the contract date I would have to pay for the service as Citreon ( who had underwritten the agreement would not honour it.)
The contract had expired on the 8th of April, and the dealer said they were in no way to blame for not sending me an earlier date, as I had not even considered a motor manufacture could be guilty of such a mean act I asked the main dealer to contact Citreon to honour and pay for the service they refused. What are my chances of taking one of them to the small claims court.

Citroen operate this three year service package but stipulate that althought you pay up front you for three services, they call it a contract and mine expired on the Eighth of April but I was sent a letter telling me to take it in to have the service carried out on the Nineth by the main dealer.

Are the terms quite clear when you buy the service contract (I am not concerned if you read them, but if you read them now) that the service must be carried out within that 36 months?

Does it say that they will remind you? How much is the service?
