In February 2005, we became members of a holiday club.

Customer Question

In February 2005, we became members of a holiday club. We were aware that there was an annual subcription. The club became insolvent and we wrote off our investment as a bad job. No further annual subscriptins were paid after 8/2/2006. Out of the blue, we have had aleeter frpm "Legal and Accountancy Services" in Malaga saying that they have taken over management and administarion of the club and that 913.77 Euros in unpaid subscriptions, including interest, have accrued. They say we must pay this to continue with the club or face legal action to recover the fees. Alternatively, we could pay £175 as an exit fee from club membership. The holiday club is worthless to us; we want nothing more to do with it. Shuld we pay the £175? Can they pursue us legally? Thanks, Peter

Hi,

Thank you for your question and welcome to Just Answer.

The terms and conditions that you originally signed with the club are they under English Law?

This sum of 913 Euros how long has it been outstanding?

Kind regards

AJ
