My company received a bad review on a hosting website regarding our services. This person had not used our services for more than a few hours and got furious after he was asked to be more polite to staff. This bad review has hindered our company as it is full of lies. What legal action is there to remove the review. This used to be client is also blackmailing us saying that unless we pay him an unseen amount of money he will keep spreading bad reviews throughout the internet and forums, unless we pay him. What legal action is possible?
How is he demanding money? Email text or telephone call?
How much does he want?
What service do youprovide?
Was it some standard?
Do you think he makes a habit of this?
He uses email and is requesting $500. Thats a lot of money. We provide minecraft servers (an online game). The review site that is honestly non responsive, are there any laws about overtaking it or something?
r u in UK or US?
Where is the review site?
Do you know who the individual is?
I am in the Uk, but I believe the review site is in the USA
The owner of the company - we know his name and his emails but he does not respond.
The guy who is harassing we know his number, address (could be fake)
Have you been to police because this is blackmail?
Are there 2 people?
