Customer Question

Hi there,my father died in 2003 by suicide because he could cope without my mother who lost her life to illness in 2002,my father never liked my partner so therefore told me he would put the will in my brothers name in case I married her as he didn't want her having any his money but insisted I would get my even share, anyway iv later found out the house was sold for £56.500,my greedy brother gave me ten grand,a few year later he gave me another ten grand because I confronted him,he still got £16.000 grand more than me plus whatever other savings my father had?He even said he will go to the will reading on his own,I now know why.Is there anyway I could get to know exactly what my father left?

Max Lowry :

Hi, welcome to Just Answer. I will help you with your question.

Max Lowry :

You can get to see the will.

Max Lowry :

Probate would have to be granted to those administering the will and there will be a record of that, and the will itself will be a public document.

Max Lowry :

You would need to complete form PA01 (available here: http://hmctscourtfinder.justice.gov.uk/HMCTS/GetForm.do?court_forms_id=739)

Max Lowry :

And then send it to the probate registry at the following address:
