You cannot remove a conviction from your CRB check I'm afraid. However, it will become spent after a certain period of time.

If you received a custodial sentence of more than two and a half years then it would never be spent.

However, if you received a total sentence of exactly two and a half years or less then it would be spent after 10 years so it should drop off.

Spent convictions do still show on enhanced and standard checks but thats rarely an issue as most employers require basic checking.

I'm very sorry but there's no way of removing a conviction. You can make an application to the force to exclude non conviction information using their exception procedure but not for convictions unfortunately.
