Customer Question

my bank is corrupting my account and will do nothing about it

Hello, I am Law Denning and I am a practising solicitor in a High Street practice. I have been an expert on this website in UK law since 2008. During that time, as you appreciate, I have answered thousands of questions from satisfied users on a variety of subjects. Because we are all in practice with clients and court and other users, I might not always respond in minutes, particularly evenings and weekends. Please bear with me in that case

It is my pleasure to try and assist you with this today. Please bear with me
while I gather some further information from you in order for me to be able to
advise you fully.

Unless I have all the facts that I need, my answer would not be accurate.

-Could you explain your situation a little more?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

my bank is the halifax. i have regular payments going out. but these are stopped, not by me. i have a written many times for an explanation but receive nothing.

I now get regular bailliffs letters to me. These come not only with their bank charges but have additional fees.

So i get late charges and now fees. How dio I get this sorted

I'm sorry, but that is not
even remotely enough information for me to even start to give you any answer.

I need the full details
please.

Are these payments going out
to other parties?

By standing order or direct
debit?

The Bailiffs letters are
trying to collect what money?

The Bailffs letters are
trying to collect money for who?

Bank and additional fees for
what?

Late charges in respect of
paying what late?

Remember, you know all the
details and I know only what you put above.

I need the whole story from
end to end please.

Please bear with me over the
weekend because I am online and off-line

Hello,

Just a quick reminder, there is an Information Request waiting for you here from the Professional. This means that they cannot give you an answer without the information they have asked for.

Thank you,
