Copy write question

Customer Question

Copy write question. I am producing a new set of greetings cards. It will have a legally used image within a new concept. Would I own the copy write to the card as a whole as the image is only a part of the product? Thanks

Buachaill :

1. You will have copyright in the whole card as this is an original work. Copyright protects any original work. The creation of the card is an original work so it is protected by copyright. It does not matter that the image is legally held on a licence from someone else.
