Hello my name is Alex and I will help you with this. Please note that I am a working Solicitor and may be on and offline as I have to attend Court and meet with clients, even at weekends. As such you may not get an instant response when you reply, but rest assured I will be giving your question my immediate attention upon return. For now please let me know how did you and how much did you pay for the ticket?
£590 thought my bank account
Paypal or debit card? Do you have an address for this agent?
Debit card I only get the website
Thanks. Was it their website or a third party such as Seatwave?
Its bad news I am afraid and I know this will not be the answer you want and certainly wont be the answer I want to give you. If you had paid by debit card and the value was over £100 then your card issuer could have given you a refund as they would be liable under the Consumer Credit Act. As you paid by debit card then this is treated the same as cash. You need to check the details from their website for name and address, failing that check the name on your bank statement. You should then write to that address and give 14 days for the refund or ticket and say otherwise you will issue Court proceedings.
You should send this recorded delivery and keep a copy of the letter. You can issue a claim online at www.moneyclaim.gov.uk or by completing form N1 and take it to your local County Court http://hmctscourtfinder.justice.gov.uk/courtfinder/forms/n001-eng.pdf - the Court will issue a claim - then if it is not defended you can enter Jugdment and enforce it, otherwise if it is defended then the matter would proceed to trial which would be informal, in Chambers.
You would also do well in complaining to Trading Standards and the Police as technically this is theft. The Police could investigate this and prosecute where necessary. But these are the steps you should take to recover the money and/or ticket.
If this fully resolves your question then please take a moment before you leave and rate my service, it only takes a second and is an important part of the process. Otherwise if you need more information or help then please click reply. Alex
The payment was made by cash from my bank account t
Yes I see, the advice is still the same. So you need to check the details on their website.
But you should complain to Trading Standards and the Police
