I have am currently separating from my partner of 5 years,

Customer Question

I have am currently separating from my partner of 5 years, we have brought a house but for financial reasons at the time of purchase it was solely put in his name. However all my financial contributions were made in cash. We were hoping for an amicable split however this is no longer the case and he has just messaged me saying he plans to stitch me up with money and the house because its in his name and I paid cash! Where do I stand on this?

Hi
Thank you for your question
I shall do my best to help you but I need some further information first.
How much is the house worth and how much is outstanding on the mortgage?
Can you prove the cash contribution that you have made?

Hi Claire,

I'm currently in work at the moment so don't have this information to hand is there anyway I can contact you directly later to continue this conversation?

I can't remember if he paid the cash into his bank surely he would have had to to transfer over to the mortgage company wouldn't have he?

thanks Vicky
